I’m a Black queer and trans social worker, born and raised in New York. I am licensed to practice clinical social work in Maryland. I work with all adult people, but take a special interest in working with Black queer communities and complex trauma. My approach focuses on supporting adults to make sense and meaning of life experiences. We engage in a collaborative process to find resolve with new meaning and purpose, building self awareness, insight, and exploring the unknown. Exploring our past can bring discomfort, as we go places we’ve feared to go.
However, coming to understand how life experiences shaped us allows us to make new meaning and live a more fulfilling life. My approach is rooted in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which I utilize to foster awareness and reframe negative emotional learning from early life experiences. This process supports profound personal growth and reshapes our self-concept and understanding of the world.
My passion for therapy stems from my deeply held belief that we can re-examine past experiences to create new narratives. We possess an innate capacity to evolve beyond the limitations once imposed by our history. Trauma isn't a life sentence of despair, but rather crucial information for healing, personal growth, and self-actualization. These beliefs are deeply rooted in my own journey of personal development and continuously inspire my work as a therapist.
My work is informed by my experiences as a Black queer and trans person. Our resilience and experiences build our ability to form new perspectives of what is possible with our emotional life. I created Creative Integration with the hope that all parts of ourselves are seen and supported through meaningful care, resources, and helpful information.

My Values
Values are the essential reference points and guiding principles of our lives—our north star. They are the focal point from which our behavior, actions, and beliefs derive, committing us to who we are and who we aspire to be.
Like our belief systems, values are changeable; they can be reevaluated as new relevant information arrives to ensure they align with the life we want to live.
My own values are informed by life lessons and literature from writers like Bell hooks, Octavia Butler, and Lucille Clifton, which have helped me contextualize my experiences. As a therapist, this translates into a commitment to:
Growth and Learning
Deep Respect and Collaboration
Integrity and Accountability
Insurance and Payments.
We accept CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, Kaiser Permanente of the Mid Atlantic, and self-pay.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
